Wooden Balinese cock fighting container, consisting of three different beautifully decorated parts, from before 1900.
Very rare piece, only a few like these known in museum collections (more info by email).
Box: Wood, two parts showing Klungkung/Kamasan style.
The middle part ajour carved and gilded.
Spurs: 10 forged spurs, uncleaned condition.
Length: 21,5 cm.
Provenance: Taken to the Netherlands in the Bersiap-period, and when going to a retirementhome ceded at a Dutch antique dealer.
