Very rare and huge shield, Atjeh but most likely Gayo area, Sumatra, 19th century.

Diameter: 56 cm.  

Huge rattan shield, in very good condition, and has brass stars and With a big central star, and 8 smaller stars on the outside. Very interesting are the 8 smaller and different stars in between.

The shield has a very good old patina.
