ROSEWOOD KERIS HILT

Very old and high quality Javanese keris hilt, with glossy old patina.

Stylistic Yaksha-/Raksasa figure carved hilt in rosewood.

The tumpal throne is also still clearly visible.

The body and face are totally covered in floral scrolls-sprouts, but the hair had been carved the "usual way".

Around its waist is a belt with meander pattern.

Cup and mendak are silver with traces of gilt.
