19th century Padang highlands storage container, Minangkabau / Sumatra.
Beautifull carvings and silver filligree work on top of the lid.
Lovely chain to prevent the lid seperated from the tube.
Length is 14,5 cm, diameter is 8 cm.
Additional info: a few of these similar tubes are found in some old Dutch museum collections.
