IBAN WAR SHIELD

War shield from Borneo, Iban / Seadayak tribes, 1880 or earlier.

Elegant wooden shield, made out of one piece of hard woord, with lots of rattan strips for reinforcement. 

Signs of extensive use and completely undamaged.

In mint condition, and very good patina all over.
