An old Javanese Pedang lurus, 1850's or earlier, with lots of Indonesian silver.
Handle: Wood all covered in silver, depicting an intriging face, a Boma head, on the front of the handle.
The silver cross guard is in perfect condition.
Some tears of age at the back of the handle in the silverwork, but the face in front is in perfect condition.
Length of the handle incl. cross guard is 14 cm.
Blade: Thick old and heavy blade, in the shape which is typical for a pedang lurus, 8 mm thick at the spine with an "X" marked at the spine.
The blade has a fuller on both sides along the back, till halfway the blade, where the back turns into a cutting edge till the sharp point like a dagger. (blade length 48 cm).
Scabbard: Wood totally covered with silver, chased from both sides all over with nice decorations and original belt clip and in mint condition. (Scabbard length: 52 cm)
