GOBANG

Rare Gobang from Tjandjoer/Java, dated 1825.

Handle: Horn handle, with glossy old patina. (12,5 cm).

Blade: Perfect balanced, sturdy blade, length 45 cm, in elegant shape and very sharp and beautifully fine decorated fully on both sides with floral motifs..

The spine has a rim, decorated on both sides fully till the point of the blade with floral motifs.

Scabbard: No scabbard

Total length: 57,5 cm.

Provenance:  The sword has a name, place and date engraved on the sides. Name (?), Place (Tjandjoer) and date (1825).
