TOP QUALITY RENCONG MEUSARONGAN

A top quality rencong from Aceh, Meusarongan type, 1870 or earlier.

Total length: 42 cm

Handle:

Extremely rare horn hulu meusarongan type, with lots of gold.

Tripple tampos (golden crowns) (3,5 cm high and 2,5 cm wide) with black and green enamel.

The cylindrical extention is covered with a casing of embellished gold (8,5 cm long and 1,5 cm wide at the tip).

Scabbard:

Wooden scabbard in very good condition (length: 29 cm).

Blade: Strong thick laminated blade decorated with golden inlay at the bolster and spine of the blade. (length 26 cm from tip till the golden crowns).
