A gayang, Dusun tribes from North Borneo, 19th century.
Total length: 67 cm
Hilt:
Antler with beautifull patina / long strand of human hair attached with resin / bicolour rattan winding / resin ring.
Scabbard:
Wooden scabbard with glossy old patina / similarly carved motifs as on the blade.
Blade:
Typically gayang blade / engraved on both sides of the blade with motifs / 49 cm long / 6 mm thick at the base.
