Very old mandau, Kutai / East Borneo, around 1870 or older

Total length: 66 cm

Handle:

Wood / Well-worn because of use.

Scabbard:

No scabbard

Blade:

Very strong thick blade / Convex - concave / Length 54 cm / 10 mm thick at the spine near the handle.

Additional info:

Collection- or museum number at the scabbardmouth.

And it has a four point tumpal at the top of the hilt (normally seen at the backside).

Condition:

The handle is of a very rare shape / transition model
