Celebes sword, 19th century, with provenance.

Total length: 66,5 cm.

Hilt:

Horn hilt with carvings / 17 cm long.

Blade:

Sturdy pamor blade / 45,5 cm long.

Scabbard:

Wood and rattan / horn (restored) endpiece / 50,5 cm long.

Provenance:

From the Dutch convent castle Boxtel, collection number 741.

Here were the Assumptionist Fathers, A.A. (founded in 1850 in Nimes), which were active missionaries in the East.
