Beladah Belabang, South Borneo / Bandjermassin-Negara area, 19th century.

Total length: 82 cm.

Hilt:

Horn pommel decorated with silver-brass alloy bands / Brass-silver alloy handguard and decorated ferrule / Silver and brass buds / Original iron "screw" on top.

Blade:

Heavy thick blade (1 cm at the base) / Wafq - Magic Square at both sides inlaid with brass / Fullers with black lacquerware (original) / Ending in a stabbing point.

Sheath:

Original wooden scabbard / Silver mouth- and endpiece and silver bands / Brass chain.

Provenance:

Dutch private collection.

Condition:

Excellent "uncleaned" condition as shown in the pictures.
