Hard to find version of the Beladah Belabang, South Borneo / Bandjermassin-Negara area, 19th century.

Total length: 77 cm.

Hilt:

Horn pommel / Silver mountings.

Blade:

Thick well balanced blade with fuller / Double edged stabbing point / 54 cm long / 8 mm thick / Amazing native repair (see pictures) / Magic Square inlaid brass, some pieces missing.

Sheath:

Original wooden scabbard / Silver mouth- and endpiece and silver bands.

Provenance:

Dutch private collection.

Condition:

Excellent condition as shown in the pictures.
