KAYAN MANDAU

A complete old mandau, 19th century.
Total length: 68 cm
Hilt:
Antler hilt with deep carvings / Rattan braided winding (partly gone) / Horn ring / Beautiful old glossy patina / Tufts of human hair.
Scabbard:
Wooden scabbard with restored bone pieces / Rattan belt in perfect condition / Original rattan knots / Bark sideknifescabbard decorated with tufts of goat- and human hair, decorated with small old beads / Including sideknife / Beltbuckle has good patina.
Blade:
Heavy thick blade / Concave and convex forged / 49 cm long / 10 mm thick at the base / Remnants of a dragon at the base of the concave side (shoulder of the blade).
