PIHA KAETTA 

A piha kaetta, Ceylon, 18th century / 36 cm long.

Hilt:

Ivory hilt with silver fittings (one piece missing at the side). 

Scabbard:

Wooden scabbard, with a copper casting at the upper half / Old dark patina and on top of the scabbardmouth small damage at the copper.

Blade:

Sturdy thick blade with golden decorations / 8mm thick along the spine / Brass bolster with foliate scrolls / 24,5 cm long.
