A gayang, Dusun tribes from North Borneo, 19th century.

Hilt:

Beautiful carved antler handle with interesting inserted seperate piece attached with pegs.

Scabbard:

Wooden scabbard (front piece hardwood) with metal bands / Sideknife scabbard at the backside with monkey fur and long strands of human hair, with an interesting sideknife / Rattan belt.

Blade:

Typically gayang blade, engraved on both sides of the blade.
