BELADAH BELABANG

Beladah Belabang, Bandjermassin/Negara area, South Borneo, around 1850!

Great old warrior, made for use during the Bandjermassin war!

Total Length: 74,5 cm

Hilt:

Dark horn hilt / Alloy ferrule and handguard with original iron "screw" on top.

Blade:

Sturdy and heavy blade (7 mm thick at the base), decorated at the base (at both sides) and fullered, floral designs, "false" edge at the tip.

Scabbard:

Wooden scabbard with alloy tip and bands (three missing).

Condition:

Unrestored and uncleaned condition!

Some very small (but old) notches at the edge because of use, and some wood damaged at the scabbard, visible on the photos.
