Banjarmasin keris, South Borneo, early 1800's.

Total length: 35 cm.

Hilt:

Gilded copper with yakut stones / Some stones missing because of age / Only cleaned shallowly to keep the old appearance.

Blade:

Has a good fit in the scabbard.

Sheath:

Silver alloy pendok, a bit dented here and there / Wooden wranka in good condition and good patina / Signs of use.

Provenance:

Coming from a Dutch family, who had this keris stowed in their attic.
